My approach to wedding photography has always been a combination of capturing moments and details in both natural light and off camera lighting. I strive to create classic and dramatic wedding images with a style different than what’s popular. The combination of both soft, natural looking artificial light, and bold lighting effects leave you with strong classic images for your album and more modern images

All of my weddings start with a free engagement shoot. This gives us an opportunity to get to know each other and gives you the opportunity to become familiar with my shooting style. As a result of this session, you will be given professional images to display on your wedding day, save the dates, invitations, and any other stationeries.

Prior to the wedding, we will work out a schedule of events for portraits and other requested photos. I always strive to complete all family photos and portraits without interfering with cocktail hour. It is my personal belief that the wedding couple should be experiencing their wedding, not enduring a long, drawn out photoshoot (I also really enjoy eating during cocktail hour). I also plan the wedding so that no formalities or ceremonies are taking place during golden hour and sunset so we can take even more images. With a good plan and adventurous couples, we can make some wonderful images.

Wedding FAQ

  • Yes! I am registered and insured business in the state of NJ.

  • Of course I do. Traveling to different locations for weddings always excites me because being able to shoot in other climates and landscapes is a great way to switch up my style and portfolio. Price is dependent upon distance and hotel costs. Also details such as travel days and meal costs are factored into the price.

  • Yes, throughout the wedding I will shoot a few rolls of 35mm, but to have a wedding shot primarily with film requires some planning. I have a large range of 35mm, Medium format, and 4x5 film cameras with very unique and rare vintage lenses. Film is where I got much of my editing aesthetic for my digital images, but with the ever rising cost of film, there is a slight charge to have your wedding shot primarily on film.

  • Though I shoot a lot of video projects, I can not shoot photo and video simultaneously therefore I highly recommend Mike Simons. We are separate companies but work extremely well as a team. We have done many weddings together and know each others wedding day workflow. He and I also both have similar color grading and editing styles making your wedding images and video blend seamlessly.

  • All edited images are uploaded to a permanent Google Drive folder organized into two separate sizes; Large for printing and Small for sharing and social. Within those folders you will find a breakdown such as, Bride Prep, Groom Prep, Ceremony, Family Portraits, and Reception. The parent folder also houses your Engagement shoot and any other shoots we may do in the future. Some go my client folders have Engagement, Wedding, Maternity, New Born, and multiple Family Portraits for holiday cards. I feel this set up has made for an easy way for clients to have access to their images rapidly and efficiently from both computers and mobile devices

  • No. Duplicate, out of focus, flash did not fire, bad expression, and overly inappropriate photos are removed from the delivered product.

  • The nature of live events makes it hard to guarantee the final number of images you will receive. Most couples in a wedding with formalities such as ceremony, first dances, cake cutting, bouquet toss, etc receive anywhere from 600 to 1500+ images. A large factor is the amount of guests, how much time they spend on the dance floor, and if you upgrade to wedding package with more than one shooter.

  • We do! They aren’t included in the base price of either package, but available upon request. With the rise in digital sharing and cost of printing albums, we leave it as a separate option to allow couples the opportunity to purchase one after the wedding or save by sharing digital images. We highly suggest printing because of both the increased resolution and larger color profile!
